Interior design quotation format, with a worked example
A good quotation lets the customer see exactly what they are paying for. Here is the structure most Indian studios use, and an example you can copy.
What to include
Keep these sections in this order so the customer can follow it easily.
- Studio details, GSTIN and quotation number
- Client name, contact and site address
- Room-wise items: description, specification, unit, quantity, rate, amount
- Subtotal, fees, discount, GST and grand total
- Payment milestones
- Timeline, exclusions, terms and validity
Common mistakes
Missing exclusions, unclear units (Sq.ft vs Running ft), no validity date, and payment terms that don't match the work stages lead to disputes later.
